Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the JustTranscribe mobile application ("Service") operated by Richard Carruthers trading as JustTranscribe ("us", "we", or "our").
By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the Terms, you may not access the Service.
JustTranscribe provides audio transcription services through a mobile application. The Service allows users to record audio, receive text transcriptions, and copy or share transcription text.
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent or guardian's permission to use the Service.
To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account using email/password, Apple Sign In, or Google Sign In. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms, misuse of the Service, or as required by law.
JustTranscribe offers a monthly subscription that provides 5 hours of transcription time per billing period. The subscription resets your included time each month. Pricing is displayed in the app at the time of purchase.
Top-up packs are one-time purchases available through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store that add extra transcription time to your account. Top-up packs can be purchased with or without an active subscription.
The monthly subscription automatically renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the same price. Top-up packs are one-time purchases and do not auto-renew.
You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your device's account settings:
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access until then.
Refunds are handled by Apple or Google according to their respective refund policies. We do not process refunds directly. To request a refund, contact Apple App Store Support or Google Play Support.
Top-up packs are one-time, non-expiring additions to your transcription balance. They are non-refundable, subject to applicable App Store or Play Store refund policies. When you have both subscription time and top-up balance, your subscription time is consumed first.

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by JustTranscribe and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You retain all rights to the audio recordings and transcriptions you create using the Service. By using the Service, you grant us and our service providers (including AssemblyAI) a limited license to process your audio solely for the purpose of providing transcription services. Your audio and transcripts are automatically deleted after processing as described in our Privacy Policy.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, JustTranscribe shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from:
Our total aggregate liability for any direct damages shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other applicable consumer protection legislation.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless JustTranscribe from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand our practices. We collect anonymised product analytics as described in our Privacy Policy.
We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes by updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
If you have a dispute with us, please contact us at support@justtranscribe.com first. We will attempt to resolve the dispute informally within 30 days. If we cannot resolve the dispute informally, either party may pursue formal legal proceedings.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
